Secretary: Esmeralda Blaney Davidson
Esmeralda Blaney Davidson studied Biomedical Health Sciences in Nijmegen and performed her PhD at the department of Rheumatology Research and Advanced Therapeutics of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre where she studied TGF-beta in osteoarthritis.
Her research interests are the role of growth factors and ageing in the pathophysiology of osteoarthritis, cartilage biology and intervertebral disc degeneration. She is an expert in cartilage-specific transgenic mouse models, mouse models for osteoarthritis, transforming growth factor signaling in cartilage and ageing. She is a project leader, supervises Junior Researchers and lectures students in Biomedical Sciences and Medicine at the Radboud University Nijmegen.
