Esmeralda Blaney Davidson is assistant professor and junior principal lecturer at Experimental Rheumatology of the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Her research interests are the role of growth factors/cytokines in pain, ageing and pathophysiology of rheumatic diseases. She is an expert in cartilage-specific transgenic mouse models, mouse models for osteoarthritis, transforming growth factor signaling in cartilage, ageing and pain. She is a project leader, supervisor of several PhD students (including an external US-based PhD student), post docs and a technician. She is a junior principal lecturer in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences and Molecular Mechanism and Disease at Radboudumc.
Special interests: pain, cartilage, synovium, growth factors, ageing, osteoarthritis.
